Literacy systems leader and instructional executive with 20 years of experience designing and leading secondary literacy programs across large urban Texas school districts. Currently serving as Director of Secondary Literacy for Fort Worth ISD, where I oversee HQIM development and implementation for Grades 6–12 across all secondary campuses, lead districtwide STAAR cohort and root-cause analyses, and build coherent instructional systems that align state accountability requirements with broader college-, career-, and postsecondary-readiness goals.
Creator of the Vertical Alignment Success System (VASS), an instructional framework that translates TEKS expectations into vertically aligned success criteria, instructional pathways, and assessment guidance utilized by educators across multiple Texas districts, including Fort Worth, Dallas, and Houston.
Core expertise includes secondary literacy leadership, HQIM development, curriculum and assessment alignment, STAAR/EOC and TSIA2 readiness, coding and AI-supported curriculum design integrated with Authentic Intelligence, multilingual learner supports, data-informed instructional leadership, and organizational systems design.
